Christa Seaman is the Vice-President, Plastics for the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada where she is responsible for delivering the strategic direction for the Plastics Division and advocating for policies, legislation and investment conditions that will enable a low carbon circular economy for plastics. Christa has over 20 years of experience across the public and private sector with a focus on policy analysis and advocacy, government relations and communication. She spent over half that time focused on climate change policy and regulatory development in the energy sector, including participating on numerous multi-stakeholder advisory committees. Christa’s focus transitioned to plastics policy in Canada in 2018 has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
