Preamble

The Circular Plastics Taskforce (CPT) was established in 2020 to optimize plastics recycling in Canada. Our mission is to foster a better alignment between market needs and recycling outputs through optimization solutions and research projects to create a circular economy for post-consumer plastics. We aim to support the strengthening of existing and emerging markets and contribute to improving the industry’s performance to produce higher quality recycled materials. Our vision is that all plastic packaging put on the market in Canada be collected and recycled in keeping with market needs, creating a circular economy.

Current Members of the CPT are Cascades, Circular Materials, the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, Danone Canada, Éco Entreprises Québec, Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, ProAmpac and Recycle BC. We are looking for one more organization to complete our membership. We are looking for a retailer or brand owner member that would complement the forces in place, bringing skills and expertise to the table and filling the remaining seat on the Board of Directors.
